Living with cancer is a new experience for me and I intend to make the most of it. Part of that is keeping in touch. This blog will help with updates of where I am going, both in body and in mind.
If you are new to bloging, notice that there is a reverse chonology involved – the most recent posting is at the top. So if you want to read the blog in the order of postings, start from the very bottom of the page.

Dear Philip
My ex-husband is Chuck Munroe. He told me about you and suggested that I read your blog because I have been so sad about the loss of my mother from lung cancer. She was 82 years old and a heavy smoker her entire life. She did die after a 6 weeks diagnosis. This seemed so sudden to us. She also elected to take no treatment and had such dignity in her passing. I admire you greatly. I have often thought about what I would do and I am certain that with a stage 3 I would do the same as you. I believe the quality of time left is higher without the added sickness of chemo. We all will meet our maker! Someone once said: “You don’t get out of life alive!” The mystery is removed from you; who knows anyone of us may pass before you. I hope to keep reading your blog for along time into the future. I believe you have found the meaning of life that we are always searching for. I wish you many good times with your friends and loved ones and that you continue to make many wonderful memories. It is so special to such so many lives.
Take Care,
Becky Paradise

Becky,
My condolences to you on the loss of your mother. I am happy for you that my own rambling thoughts on all this business of dying might give you some solace and lead you to an accepting view of the matter.
All the best to you!
Philip
